Okay I know I should post this question in the Cingular Forum but im putting it here cause I know it will get read. Once Cingular launches PTT in 7days do you guys think That Palm One will come out with a flash upgrade or even a program app to make the Treo PTT? I know its asking alot but I definately dont want to buy another phone just for PTT. Someone has to have some inside info...

I doubt it, I suspect they would do it if they had a dedicated PTT button.

If it has it, it would probably be on the newly released models once it is implemented at Cingular. I wouldn't be surprised if they wait to put it on the new model Treos that will be released in the 3rd or 4th quarter 2006.

I'd like to see Cingular implement the PTT on Treo as well as Blackberry like Nextel does.

The phone needs Kodiac in order for it to work...word on the street is treo has one that will launch

I haven't seen/heard anything on the inside. The Cingular update 1.17 or whatever it is just came out about a week or 2 ago...I think thats gonna be the last or 2nd to last major update (bug fix) before the 700 comes out.

The left bottom button (just below volume) could enact as a PTT key, but then it would lose other functionality.

On the kodiak site it speaks of placing the PTT and other client software on the sim card. Also, the ease of upgradeability and how the Ptt client works on GSM and CDMA(Amp'd Mobile will use it if they ever open) So my question is why not a flash upgrade for the treo 650 so it can be PTT usable?

Because then people wouldn't have to buy new phones and if they don't have to buy new phones then cingular can't get them locked into another contract.
