Anyone here familiar with the OPCode Menu? I need some instructions how this works and what type of changes can be made with this feature. Thanks to anyone who can help.

After this opcode you must restart the phone.
Now you have an ingeneering menu on your mobile.

If there will be questions, ask....

Wow, thanks for the great list -- best I've seen yet. Do you know of any other OpCode "47" entries to edit more seems? I didn't even know you could do that...

very informative post

newb question, what phone/ s does this work with?

Posted by: Scotsman828

Thanks alot! great info. Unfortunently the 47 opcode doesn't work on my V810 CDMA phone. Any ideas how to get the engineering menu on CDMA phone? My idea was to use opcode to enable USB tranfer of ringtones and images on my phone. I cannot get any of the software programs to read my V810's filesystem.
This should be made a sticky!

Anyone else wanna add to this? This would make a great knowledge base.

O.K. This ALL looks very interesting. Now, can someone please add some detail on what this exactly does? I can get into the OPCode Menu, and enter the OP Codes, ex. 54*0*0*0 … hit OK, and it says SUCCESS. What does that mean? “Select Tone 0” is a SUCCESS? It works properly? I didn’t hear anything or see anything? Do I need to disable anything when I am done? Phone restarts itself afterwards and everything seems O.K.

Did I miss something?

How quickly do you have to press the keys?
I've tried this enough times to where I feel like I'm playing Mortal Kombat on my razor
Any hints on what I'm doing wrong. All I want to accomplish (for the time being) is reseting the 4-digit unlock code (I forgot a four digit pin *lame*)

you dont need opcodes to reset the unlock code if you know the security code, just go through the change pw menus like normal, change unlock code, and then when you have to type in the existing one, press the menu button and it will switch to "enter security code", put in the security code, OK, and then your new unlock code.

Security code is by default 000000 (for most phones/providers)

What he said.

Anyway, does this work on the L6 as well? I've tried but can't get the opcode menu. The C651 did, no problem.

13 posts from 2005?

Don't hold your breath guys, I don't think he's coming back.

Maybe he failed his exams, got kicked out of school..had to move back to the countryside where there is no internet. Maybe he really did want to help, but with all the cows and chickens to tend to, had no time to go into the city to upload those 'lots of op codes' that he knows.

hi, the opcode works on some models, there is a seem to enable it, look at the seem table list. I think it works under certain firmware also, it works on my v635 when i last played about with it. the opcode fun only lasts a while and its easier with p2k progs. since u need to have the list of codes anyhow for modding to hand.
