Treo 650 Reception/Bad Call Quality Issues Still?

I have the chance to have my company buy me a new phone so right now I am considering the Blackberry 7250 or the Treo 650. I really like the way the treo looks better and how it isn't as wide, but people who I work with and others online were complaining of horrible reception and dropped calls on the treo. I was just wondering if anyone still had these problems and a software update fixed it , or if I would be better off just getting the blackberry.

The phone will be purchased through Verizon.

I wasn't sure if this was only an issue in the treos that just came out, or if it is a permanent issue still happening today.

I have yet to have any issues with the Treo's reception or dropped calls. In fact I have yet to drop a call. After getting the new SIM TRAY this thing has been solid as a rock.

I can't speak for Verizon's Treo 650, but I have both Sprint and GSM Treo 650 and I find their reception one of the best comparing to other devices that I had.

No issues w/ my VZW Treo 650!!! Just get VolumeCare & your all set!!!

it got great reception, but once you put programs into the phone, prepare to crash.

Compared to my nokia 6620 the reception is subpar.
