So, you can get a cheaper phone, sell it, and use the money towards a 6682 and I'm sure the net amount spent on the 6682 would be less than the price you would be paying for it on cingular's contract subsidy. |

All I can remember is their 2-year price. It was $197 and change. |

Cingular has temporarily discontinued shipments of the Nokia 6682 (software v3.01.1) due to a compatibility issue with the Gemplus or Oberthur UICC (UMTS compatible SIM card, 3G SIM). When combining either of these SIMs with the Nokia 6682 the voicemail number must be manually entered and stored in the handset via “Tools” then “Voicemail” in order to use “one number” dialing to access the voicemail system. While Cingular has not officially released the 3G SIM, a “stop-ship” has been enacted on the Nokia 6682 until a software revision is available to support the 3G UICC. No additional shipments of this model will be accepted from Nokia, nor distributed from our warehouses until this issue is resolved. |

It's the Nokia or the upcoming HTC 2125 -- probably whichever one I can get my hands on first. |

In a nutshell, you can buy the Nokia right now, or wait a few days and get the 2125. Personally, I'd wait 3-4 weeks and see how people like the 2125. Then compare the reviews and make your decision. I don't know where you live, but for me, UMTS/HSPDA is still a few years away. Regardless of your decision between those two phones, I think you'll have a winner on your hands. |

For some reason, I can't picture a Wal-Mart regular with an s60 smartphone. |
I'm gonna call back tomorrow and see if I can get it from another rep. The guy there today was new and was afraid he'd get in trouble.

The rep went to get me a "Fresh" untouched one, went he got it out of the cabinet it had a note taped to it, saying "Do not sell, till all 6230's are gone" Guess what, they've got 2 6230's left!!!!

$401.10 out the door.

[#2] I really don't think the (Copy Contacts?) thing is a bug; because it asks "Copy NEW SIM contacts to phone?" I know it's annoying, but I think the phone thinks you have probably been using another phone since it's been switched off, and you possibly added some numbers. It just wants to make sure it's up-to-date. |
