Why doesn't HTC have a section under the "Manufacturers" area?

Because its much easier to sort by OS/device type? What would be the focus of the HTC subforum? It would just be an amalgam of smartphone + pocket pc + maybe treo 650 sections

I think the PPC forum covers HTC quite well actually! No need for a seperate one...

^Agreed, HTC makes most PocketPCs anyways so why would there be a need for an additional HTC forum?

I prefer to stick with one Pocket PC-related forum.

I totally agree, anything you would even need to know about HTC products or products from any PPC manufacturer can be found here.

I see where you are coming from, but there are other posts from other PPC folks and I could see a place where their posts might get lost in the noise. With so many people speaking in the same room the little guys might get lost. Of course with them posting in the PPC forum they get to have their posts seen by a much larger audience even if their manufacturer was technically different.

Seems like good things on both sides of the equation and just thought I would voice a question since HTC was a large enough manufacturer to warrant a group of their own.

One thing we might get them to do would be to add something about HTC in the title of the forum since it does seem to be the main focus.

Bah..in the end it just doesn't matter.

Its only the main focus because HTC is cranking out PPC's like crazy lol.

If we were to have an HTC section, then the PPC forum and the Microsoft Smartphones forum would have to be combined since HTC makes Windows Smartphones as well.

I think it would create some confusion because even though HTC make all these devices, they have different brand names on them. People might not realise that their Imate was made by HTC and wouldn't know which forum to go to. I think the forums we have work best.

I didn't even know they created an HTC subsection until now. I just checked it out, and it's just as useless as I imagined it would be.
