Problem with Bitpim

Ok, so I've been using bitpim for a while now. And I've had to use different methods for putting ringtones on my 8100. I can easy put an mp3's on by using the ringer tab, but now if i try to use the brew directory by uploading the files and then erasing the ringtone.dat files and rebooting, my phone then only shows a few ringtones (sometimes none of them). And since the ringtones you get from vzw are in midi format. You cant use the conversion process. So any help would be appreciated in letting me know what Im doing wrong. Btw I have used the brew method b4 with success untill I upgraded to 8.0. Now since all hell has broken loose, I have even uninstalled bitpim completly and reinstalled. But same problem. TIA
