THERE IS NO WEBJAL PROGRAM FOR MAC, I HOOK UP MY OLD COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS XP AND DOWNLOAD RINGTONES USING THE WEBJAL PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM (FFMPEGX) WORKS FOR MAC, I PUT SONGS (.MP3) AND VIDEO (.3GP) AND PICS (.JPEG) USING THIS PROGRAM. I USED EVERY FEATURE ON THE I870 PHONE EXCEPT THE BLUETOOTH, WITCH MY COMPUTER DOESN'T HAVE, I HAVE A EMAC G4, RUNNING MAC OS X 10.2.8 BUT FOR MAC USERS, YOU CAN PURCHACE A DIVICE FOR BLUETOOTH IT'S CALLED A (D-LINK BLUETOOTH ADAPTOR DBT-120 USB FROM APPLE).

you're saying that is how you put ring tones on your computer? I just installed VPC 7 and put webjal on that ... thats how i plan to load on my new 870....

Yup, vpc and webjal work. Another guy and I discovered a method to do it. And wrote a tutorial, dont have it anymore tho.

for those who have successfully encoded video with ffmpegx what are the settings for right before you endcode

Well i spent 3 hours playing and still can't get webjal on VPC to work... tried swapping the COM2 to "usbmodem" mode and it still wont connect. every now and then i'll get an establishing box then it'll go "please wait" then i'll get the "phone is not responding" type msg.

If you have all the proper drivers installed, you have to make sure your Baud Rate is at 115200. Also, sometimes it will take a few attempts before webjal can connect to your phone. Try reopening the app and connecting again.

Hi - Does FFMPEGX work to actually get the ringtones to and from the Mac to the cell phone? It seems to just be a program that rips DVDs into other formats...? I'm trying to find software for Macs to work with a Motorola i850 phone... Thanks!

i dont understand how this thread ended. so can you use that program to get the ring tones to the phone from the mac. i just got a data cable today. i have a mac and im trying to get some ring tones. please help
