The cons are more importaint for me... Bluetooth is a must!

need bt.... yes... yes... (10 characters!)

What the HELL are people doing with BT that is SOOOOOOOO!!!!! damn important!

Posted by: dasupaman23

I concur that BT is a MUST now. I use bluetooth mainly for talking with my headset when I am in the car or doing something around the house. I have also found it easy to send contacts to other people. I don't really use it to connect to the pc but I have sent pictures, ringtones, and contacts from my phone to other phones. Plus it's always neat to bluejack someone in a busy place

Gotta have bluetooth. If it wont connect with my HS-850 then forget about it.

What the heck is Bluejack?

Posted by: WirelessAndy

Simply put, bluejacking is the act of messin' around with someone else's bluetooth device, using your own.

I sort of concur with cingular1977. I personally don't have a burning need for bluetooth, even though my laptop is bluetooth enabled. I've used bluetooth headsets and car kits with mixed results. I sort of found it strange to have to charge up a headset, when my cheapie wired headset does just fine.

I will be the first to admit that bluetooth headsets are way neato, however.

Now, if I had a car with a built-in bluetooth speakerphone, I'd probably search high and low for a bluetooth phone I could live with.

I don't "tether" a PDA/laptop anymore, and haven't for years. For example, I'm around computers long enough all day that I have a tough time justifying to myself to get a Blackberry (again) for the email or light web browsing.

Anyway, I see bluetooth in a phone as a "great to have", but not an absolute necessity in my life. Not yet. But never say never.

How many of you even use your BT regularly? Regularly enough to give up an Mp3 player? I just dont get it, while I know first hand the benefits of blue tooth to give up the above pro's for blue tooth would just be TOO much!!!!!! Is there anyone else who has my power of reasoning?

Posted by: Rock3nrenigade

You want a MP3 player buy an iPod....Personally bluetooth is such a huge convinence to me. In NY you need a headset to talk on the phone while driving. and the lack of wires is even nicer.

I agree, I can care less about a camera or the ablity to play MP3's...I would give them up for BT.

Posted by: kiztope

Have the best of both worlds! Buy a Rokr!

By the way, I'd sacrifice most things, just to keep bluetooth...
A cellphone is a phone first, then everything else...
Bluetooth makes the "phone" use much more convenient.

I am the same way. A camera is nice but I barely use the camera in my phone now. I never use my phones as an mp3 player. I have an ipod for that. BT is a must for me.

Posted by: Wide_opeN

Here's what my requirements were when I went to pick a phone up a couple of weeks ago... 1. Color external screen (had to be a flip) 2. Flash 3. Didnt even go looking for an mp3 player BUT since I dont have one how could I pass this up if it came on the phone that met my requirements. Since I'm not an audiophile a phone/mp3 combo is perfect (side note. I challenge any IPOD head to put their ipod vs the ce500. this phone is dangerous).... The thing that is amazing me is there are not more people who find themselves in the same predicament.

Palm TX + EDGE/Bluetooth Phone = (Wireless) Internet Anywhere

Posted by: Wide_opeN

Yeah so does My phone+EDGE/data cable= Internet Anywhere.... Oh yeah I guess EDGE is SUPER important for everyone also, seeing how so many are running out to get the SE z520a and Razr Family

lol I have a 30gb iPod video, and I would not trade it for a cell phone with very limited memory, plus, you need to really use an iPod to understand how good it is.

I also love bluetooth. I lost my bluetooth headset for a couple of months, and I am now so glad to have it back. I personally think that the quality of my headset (hs810) is much better than those wired ones, and it is much more comfortable. I also enjoy bluetooth sync with my computer's calendar and address book. I also ocassionally tether and it is so much easier without the cords.

oh, and a biggie for me is call quality, and since i don't hold the phone when i'm using it, it seems to be much better.

Who here would say bluetooth is more important than edge?

Posted by: tbfl

Feature Importance for me...

#1 - Bluetooth
#2 - EDGE
#3 - Expandable memory
#4 - Megapixel + Camera

MP3 players are meaningless for me...

I would like the above in a slim Candy Bar like the E398 or SLVR...

I can only hope...

Posted by: Wide_opeN

Just needed to get this back in front of the people!!!!!!!!

Posted by: mona13

I have to have BT. Edge is also important, but I could do with it easier than I could do without BT. If I'm driving, I'm on the phone, which is alot! I use the jabra bt250v and it's awesome.

If a phone doesn't have BT I don't even look at it. If it does I start from there and check out the rest of the features.

Right now I have the 6682 and even with bugs, it's a really nice phone. Best I've had in a long time.
