Danger, this can wreck your sidekick if your not careful.

Also if you reboot, this reorders your wheel back to the way it's "supposed to be"

Yeah, it's only temporary. But then again how often do people reboot during normal usage? Unless you're an OTAer or you're having problems this trick should be a satisfying way to arrange your jump screen. And as long as you don't go deleting system apps you should be fine.

whattt. i already like the way my apps are set up rite now. to be honest i dont get the point of this tick? not to sound stupid or any thing.

Not everyone likes the way the apps are ordered. Some people, like myself, want the apps they use the most ordered in a cetain way. The now-defunct dev app Wheelie accomplished this quite well, but will not work with 2.3. This trick essentially does what Wheelie did. I like my apps in a certain order- web, RSS feeder & IM services beneath phone, msging, calendar & email on top. That way the apps I use the most are right by the phone so I can just hit jump & not have to scroll all over the place to get to them. That's the point, for me anyways...

One thing I have to say is that on 2.3 I'm seeing a tremendous length of time between reboots - the new memory management in 2.3 seems to really stabilize the device.

Except when I get the "out of memory" error after visiting javascript intensive sites...or whatever causes it to run low on available memory. But I'll take that because it's compensated by the increased functionality and the Snappy™ browsing

Even then, you're not really needing a reboot- the low memory panic is there to keep the browser from crashing on crappy javascript (and you know how much of that is out there). Even with low memory errors I've been able to go 4+ days without needing a reboot. I think I went 5 once but that was stretching it, especially consdering some of the crappy code I run on my device (mine )
