My Zoom function on my camera has suddenly disappeared. the 2x and 3x zooms are diabled. It was there a while back ... not sure what I changed to make it disabled. Any one know?

same here, not sure when.

Check your Picture Size... If it is at 640 x 480 then there is no zoom.. If it is at 160 x 120 the zoom will work... Hope this helps...
