Wow! I'm jealous, the Treo700 looks beautiful. Any idea when this will be comming out? My contract with Nextel ends in a month, and I'm looking into a Treo

The Treo 700 runs on Windows Mobile 5. It is a joint collaboration between Palm (makers of the original Treo) and Microsoft.

It will be available EXCLUSIVELY on Verizon for at least the first 6 months.
Verizon and Palm have both said this Treo should be out in early January, and no later than March if they do push the launch date back.

Again, Verizon has an exclusive deal with them to get this out first; no other carrier will have it until at least September 2006. (Verizon phones can be hacked to work on Sprint, but that is asking for trouble, Sprint reps aren't teenage I-can-program-a-MP3-ringtone-so-I-am-special morons like Cingular's and T-Mobiles' .)

I, too, would like the Treo 700 to be my everything device. But until I can get it on GSM (unlocked, preferably) I will have to live with my Treo 650 on Cingular and maybe upgrade to the 8125 in January.

I'm awaiting the GSM model too! Tese pics make me jealous!

Any idea what the price tag on this will be?

Posted by: iav122003

Nobody knows yet.
A couple quote-un quote "highly placed Palm employees" have stated it will be at a higher price point than the 650.

My guess: ~$600.00 USD
Real price at launch: Who knows...

hey guys i have a treo 650 with Verizon, and for the past 2 weeks i've been having problems with the text messaging (SMS). i can send messages with no problems, however im having problems receiving them. i went to verizon and had my treo 650 swapped out with another one and it was brand new not refurbished, and im still having the problem. i dont get the text messages until like a day or 2 later. and i constantly have to do a *228 which is getting annoying. i called verizon and all they do is refresh my messaging service and send me a test message and it works, after that it stops receiving messages again. one of the reps told me that ther was a new software for treo 650 which is the 1.04. i have the 1.03 and i tried updating it and my treo was screwed and so they gave me another one. he said it might help with ur text issues if you update but i dont feel like haveing it swapped out again. so my question is, does anyone know how to fix this problem or is anyone haveing that same problem?

also, i have both the data package $44.99, and the unlimited IN package $5. but i keep thinking that those two packages might interfere with each other and that might be why im having this problem. im thiknking of taking off the data package b.c i barely use the web and i barely use the e mail so its a waste.
