I'd like to know how the reception is on these 2 SE walkman phones on the Cingular network? A user in the nyc area would be great.

The K750 is not a walkman phone right out of the box. It will need to be flashed to the w800 firmware to get the walkman function. In ca, the phone gets good reception since there is very little 850 band here. Since I am browsing on my phone I cannot see where you are from but if you travel throughout the US a lot, you might want to at least invest in a backup phone that has 850 in it.

FWIW, NYC does use 850 so you will get reception but it will not be the same as with a 850 capable handset.

I was able to test this using my V600 and switching between 850/1900 and 900/1900 settings.
