Mpx220 How to put files and songs on sd card

This may seem like a stupid question, but I am trying to put some songs on my sdcard. The method I used was to open windows explorer in Win XP and manually place the selected songs into
storage card but when I attempt to move the song onto the storage card, it will not transfer the file or song.
Do I have settings messed up, please help

have you tried to turn the lock off on the storage card

My sd card does not have a lock on the physical card. Is that what your talking about. Or is it in the software

yes physical lock, are you trying it through active sync or a card reader
