Like the title says, is sending SMS messages included when you subscribe to the Unlimited Data Plan or is that an option that I must add on?

The Kyocera software with the Passport card gives you the ability to send SMS messages and I don't want to start using that application if it's not free.

No, it isn't. They do have messaging plans. If you don't have a messaging plan, it costs 15 cents per message, I think.

Yeah, data and text are two different things. Fortunately, you can add Unlimited Text for $10/mth.

Receiving is free.

But sending is not.

*Receiving that is beyond your control, such as from other phones, the website, or email is free. Things you sign up for such as MSN or NHL alerts are chargeable at $0.15 each or against messages in a pak.

Good point. Bell is one of the only providers that is truely unlimited. There are some in the states that even limit imcoming messages too. Kind of stupid.
