hello people
i recently started liking pda phones and considering these two...i know that p900 is way cheaper then the p910. But i want to know are there any other differances besides the querty keyboard ?

Are the lcd the same on both units? Resolution differance? Color differances? LCD quality differance??

i really like the sony ericsson form factor. I have to treo 600 right now and dont like it much..its heavy and bulky. i know the p910 isnt too bulky feeling as the treo...

well, my ultimate choice was the imate pda phone..but that price is killing me...damn cingular needs to realase it so the price falls for us people in the USA.

Querty Keyb on back of flip. but i thought the max memory the P910 could use was 1GB memory sticks? or has this been updated with new firmware?

Its been updated with new firmware, it's possible to put in a 2gb stick into the P910 now.

It is possible to convert a P900 into a P910, and you'll get the 262k screen if you switch the screens, and the ability to use pro duo sticks. Otherwise, the converted P900/P910 will have no other differences. Software wise, is the same too.

Since you're in Chicago and on Cingular, you may want to go for the p910 just for the 'a' model that includes the GSM 850. The p900 and p910i are both european triband phones.

so if u flash a p900 to a p910 will u be able to use duo pro cards or do u have to switch the screens in order to flash it?
i'm actually thinking of buying a p900 too since they are so cheap right now but 128mb is way too small for a smartphone

What about the bluetooth problem/issue? Is that fixed when upgrade to P910?
If I have a locked P900, does the person need to unlock it before he ungrade to P910 or will be unlock once I upgrade to P910?

Have your P900 unlocked before starting the procedure. It will not be unlock after the upgrade

You won't be able to use bluetooth headsets when upgrading a P900 to P910 firmware but all data transfer/syncing functions still work. Don't quote me but some people say that some jabra headsets work though.

I thought about it and I don't think I will upgrade. I don't see the advantage at all. I read the other threads already and knows the difference.

What do you guys truely thinks? Maybe you can help change my mind and give me some of your persoanl reason why you upgraded.

I have had a p900 for two years now. I didnt buy a p910 due to the limited enhancements compared to the p900 ("gap" between p900 and p800 "is" 100, and only "10" between p900 and p910: it almost says it all).
It all depends on you phone usage: do you need the extra features of the p910? If money is not a matter go for the p910 though.
