Got it working!

The problem with the default install of downloading the MIDlet/.jad, is it runs under the supplied OEM MIDlet program. And while it looks like it works there, it doesn't correctly assign the ZOOM- and MENU functions to the Softkeys - so you really cant' do much...But with some searching, I pieced together how to get it working. I've listed my step-by-step instructions below. It was kinda tricky figuring it out - and you need to install a different MIDP prog. But now that it works, it's really pretty nice...

1. Download the IBM Workplace Client Micro Edition
Go to this link: http://www14.software.ibm.com/webap...cro+Edition+5.7
It's free, but you need to register, and keep moving forward until you get to a list of downloadable programs. When you get to the list, download the "MIDP 2.0 for Windows Mobile Smartphone Edition"

2. Install the downloaded package to your PC. Note the install directory (usually C:/IBM/...).

3. Copy the .cab file to your SP5m and install it. It will install another Java MIDlet environment.

4. On your SP5m, run the new IBM MIDlet program.

5. It'll ask you for a URL for the MIDlet to execute. Type in the following URL:
Code:
http://www.google.com/glm/apps/v1.0.0/gmaps-Audiovox-SMT5600.jad

(Note: Don't use your browser to download the file. Because by default all .jad MIDlet's want to get run under the supplied OEM MIDlet prog. So you need to run the new IBM prog and install it from there via the URL. Fortunately, this is only a 1-time event.)

6. You should be good from there! Here, the ZOOM- and MENU keys are properly assigned to the left and right softkeys!

7. Enjoy!

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try my best to answer them!

Having some problems at this point. I can't seem to locate the .cab file. I have found the WEME WM2003 Smartphone Eval folder, but don't see any .cab files. Could you possible email me the .cab file?

thanks
