Aside from the case and a few buttons, is there anything else that's drastically different from the two phones? I placed myself on the wait list from Expansys USA for the QTEC 8310 after forking out some money but now i'm starting to hear they will tag on a broker fee weeks after the initial purchase. If this is the case, I think i'm going to place myself on the wait list through madmonkeyboy's web site. It wasn't till after placing myself on expansys's web site is when I really found out about madmonkeyboy.

Also, with these phone, is it possible to do AD-Hoc networking? I haven't heard anything about it yet.

Qtek 8300 and I-mate SP5m are the same phone (music version).
Qtek 8310 and I-mate SP5 are the same phone (business version).

The only difference between the music versions and the business versions are the casings on the phone (color, button layout, etc..).

There shouldn't be any brokerage fees from Expansys, not sure who told you that....but Mad Monkey Boy is always a good choice.

And yes, I believe you can do Ad-Hoc networking (I remember seeing settings for it), but I'm not familar with it.

The only differences I think there will be:
1. The Internet Explorer button will launch a different site.
2. Some of the OEM software may differ
3. The support (e.g. access to ClubImate) wont exist for the 83xx.

Technically, hardware wise, they are identical.
