Newb, got some questions

Just ordered a refurb SMT 5600 from Cingular for $30. I'm normally a Symbian man, but I figured for the low price I could venture into Smartphones, and at least recoup my costs if need be. Anyways, I do have some questions.
First, what are some must-have apps? I know there are several with Symbian that I simply would not power a phone on without. Are there any like that with the Smartphone?
Actually, come to think of it, that's my only one. It comes with AOL and all that, right?
