Hello,
with well over 1000 contacts in my Outlook and getting ready to get my first smartphone with Mobile 5.0, i'm trying to figure out, preemptively, how to be able to find the more frequently dialed numbers quickly (i.e. scroll quickly)?
for example, in my sony ericsson, my phone book only has around 500 contacts, so scrolling is much more limited. with 1000 to 2000 contact in my Outlook, while i'm excited about having ALL of them available to me in my phone, it is unwieldy to scroll through in order to find a number. it would be much more preferable to have all the Outlook contacts available on my phone, BUT have an abridged list of "phone contacts".
anyone else with this issue?
thank you in advance!

it's actually pretty easy... no need to scroll, just start keying in your contacts first or last name in the key pad and the address book will start filtering itself. i have tons of contacts as well but hardly have to scroll with this feature

Also in outlook you can use the catagories feature for each entry(multiple ones allowed) and then there is a filter option within contacts on the phone that will just show the entries from that catagory.
