8900 Exporting Contact List

Has anyone successfully gotten a contact list off of a 8900? Or even if not exporting it, accessing the contents of it via some text editor?
My phone's LCD died (like so many others) and rather than screw around with it, I'm just gonna upgrade. However, I would like to get my current contacts off of the phone and into a new phone.
I would do it manually, but like I said, my LCD is dead.
Any help is appreciated.

If you're speaking of PC Sync, then what I said is correct.
I'm speaking of this login screen:

When I first installed it, I simply entered a password of my choice in user registration, and chose save password. It then retained it.
If you mean something else, then you could try your lock code, which is the last 4 digits of your phone number, your SPC or your MSL.

When first connecting to your phone, it will ask you for a password, this is your phone's lock code
Mine was defaulted to the last 4 digits of my phone number, try that.

Said that, but it has been awhile since I did it. (Seems only necessary to do it once)
Strike the SPC/MSL bit.

Ok I seem to have gotten that to work now it will not see my phone..
are there some other settings i must adjust?
Whjat is the "correct" driver for this phone i think I may have screwed that up too!!
Thanks

If you installed PC Sync, you installed the correct drivers.
Keep in mind, not all functions work with all models. You should at least be able to backup contacts amd calendar info, but images usually doesn't work etc.
