ME45 -> S45i, should I?

Do you think this upgrade (ME45 -> S45i) is neccessary? What does it improves to my phone. Well one more, does it work on Siemens 3618 (ME45 Asia version IMHO).
Do you know anything about how to modify the antenna of Siemens phone because the reception is worse than other phone (e.g Nokia).Can we really do this? I mean is it possible?
Is there anything I can do to make this phone support the EMS 6.0?

Actually I've seen a post on www.siemens-club.ru about how to upgrade the S45 to S45i, but since ME45 = S45 + waterproof housing, then I think you can create a brand new phone. And Siemens doesn't have them at all, its going to be called:
Siemens ME45i
