Technically, if you get a corporate discount and subsequently stop working for the company, you're supposed to let Verizon know and they would then remove the discount. In practical use though, who would do that, and how would Verizon know? The company wouldn't contact Verizon and let them know that you no longer work for them.

I know Lockheed gets 25% off of Cingular. I was almost tempted to switch. |

that my company was eligable for. It signed me right up in 5 minutes. We'll see how long it takes to see my 6 %. What I wasn't sure of was the Terms that came up on the screen, it said I was subject to the ETF if I cancel my phone. I don't know if it means I'm on the company contract or what. I'll have to make a phone call to figure that out. But since I signed my new contract at almost the same time or Company went Verizon, my contract time is probably about the same. I don't have any plans to change wireless companies anyways, but I'd like to understand the potential for an early termination better.|

This true. I used to work for a school district. My xxx@lausd.net address yeilds no results on Cingulars online tool. However, my xxx@k12.ca.us address (which forwards), shows up as S. Cal MGt Dist I, and a seperate discount from what my real discount is. Having access to a FAN at the previous employer, I figured out who the rep was. He was surprised to hear from an employee. I tried getting the inforamtion from HR and Telecomm, without results. So, in other words, try the above link, and if all else fails try contacting your HR or call in to see if your employer provides a discount. For some reason the Verizon extranet site for my friend's company don't have them lised.
