RAZR flash v42.08r question

I just got my tmobile v3 razr about 2 weeks ago. It came loaded with firmware version 42.09r. I'm considering updating the firmware (flash only....i understand if i dont want to loose any personal data i can just do flash and not flex and i should be fine). I've been searching for a suggestion to a different version that may give me better reception and its been suggested that i go to version .08R. I found that version and the details say that image quality seems better. My question is, if my current version (.09R) is the newest one available and/or newer than this .08R version, shouldnt whatever enhancements that were fixed in version .08 be carried over and also on .09 ?
would anyone one else have any input if they have had luck with a better version than these for increased picture quality and reception? thanks in advance! (btw i did try searching before i posted this but found nothing for .08 version ...maybe not searching with the right keywords)

This is the original thread on the 08R:

As far as the reception and picture quality thing goes anagin you just have to keep trying different version to see what works good for you. Some work better for some members and not for others.

thanks. i'm in the proccess of downloading the stock moto one (i'm guessing thats the one i should use.....using that shouldnt affect anything with my being with tmobile i hope, right?)
what i'm wondering is if anyone knows if i'm thinking correct that if i have a newer firmware currently than this .08, then technically i SHOULD have whatever enhancements were made in that version, right? maybe i'm thinking too technical on this.

Just my input, but I have tried 08R, 09R, and 0CR and don't see any difference in reception. All are supposed to fix a checkerboard issue with pictures taken with the internal camera, but I have never seen the issue. I ended up going back to 08R because with 09R and 0CR I sometimes saw horizontal lines across my display.

thanks. i'll most likely stick with .09 for now until something better comes along. i'm always leary about going backwards in a firmware version....obviously they upgraded for a reason so why would i want to go backwards, right?
