What is the "seem edit" to store games to T-Flash at download prompt?

I know there's a seem edit for this because when i switched 2 different 0032_0001 seems it wont let me, i'm just curious into knowing this.

xlr8? where are ya buddy?, hehe. or anyone else with knowledge.

i'm afraid there is no seem edit for this one. it's a flash dependant feature.

i have the MotoSymbian MP, and i flashed the 43R reflash on top (haven't done any seem editing or seem replacing) and then when i installed a java game i got no prompt, it just installed on the phone memory.

I'm running Bodyguard's MP (with a few mods), upgraded using the 43r (from 42r only) file and I have the install option fine.. weird

edit: Tried sending with bluetooth and copying to kjava folder and installing from TF and works fine both ways

No, it hast to do with seems. With 1ER seems you can't choose. It is working fine for me.

well, i just jumped to this conclusion since it seemed the most obvious one.... waiting for someone to post the solution...

i have some seems (0032, 004a, 004b, 004e, 005b) from the Symbian 1.2 flex, made for 42R. i'll take a look at them...

my E1 rokr will prompt me where to save the java program (phone or Mem card), when download with GPRS, not sure about it when transfer from PC

I know for a fact it's in the 0032_0001 seem. I have a backup of the 0032 seem but when i use my most current 0032 seem it takes that feature off.

I also noticed that under " new passwords ", im unable to change the password for " security " because it isn't listed there to choose it. When i go back to the back-up seem, the option to choose a new password for " security " is there.

So therefore, it means that there's a seem edit for the T-Flash download and security " change password ".

[IFC]Area51, please post the 0032 seem that lets you select phone/trans.

i've compared mine with the one from Symbian 1.2, but it seems this feature is not availble in it either...

no mate, we're looking for the seem edit that lets you choose were to install the java games/appz when you install them from the t-flash...

by the way, when making a video and choosing STORE, the file saves itself on the phone, i get no choice.

someone who can choose where to install the java games/appz, please post your 0032_0001 seem here.

There's mine. I tested install by copying to TF, over BT and with MIDway and all work fine.

History: Bodyguards ROKR MP -> 43r upgrade -> I modded a few thing (nothing related to java, just remove all startup/shutdown stuff)

Seem 0032_0001 Offset AE bit 2 must be unchecked and we can choose between Phone and transflash card.

Maybe it works only for E398 , Rokr. Or you set the wrong bit. Upload your seem. I will have a look.

great work, Iza. i was 3 steps behind you on this one. had been comparing Abomination's seem with mine and narrowed the solution to a couple offsets.

by the way, the wiser ones may shed some light on following offsets:

offset 53 bit 5
offset 56 bit 3
offset 62 bit 2

all these were checked in Abomination's seem, but not in mine. so... what extra cool features do you have enabled, Abomination?

also, bits 5, 2 and 1 from offsets A8 to AE? anyone has any ideas? (except bit 2 from AE, of course)

I havent messed with the seems much, only the iTunes hack (not in 0032 anyway) and startup/shutdown stuff. Basically I removed anything related to startup and shutdown (I only remember changing 5 or so things) using xlr8's map.

Actually I just realised, I'm running 43R, is that the cause?

i have 43R too, but only the flash. i kept the flex (Symbian 1.01)

the weird thing is that the option to choose were to install the java stuff disappeared after applying the reflash. this means that a different seem edit is responsible for this feature in 43R/42R compared to 1ER.

Damn, sorry im late to this thread djdano, i just revived my e398 today, it was dead for 2 days until i found the solution for it that was posted here.

I'm glad we found the seem to it but you're telling me they are different in42R/43R?
