ringtone transfer with data cable for 9900?

I'm considering purchasing a 9900. However, I've heard that some verizon phones don't allow you to transfer pictures and ringtones with a data cable, thereby making you pay for them (like the v265, I believe.) Is the 9900 one of these phones? I'll look elsewhere if it is.
