Hi everyone - First of all, I'm a complete novice at downloading ringtones. I was a big fan of the "ringer 1" on my old VX3200. It is a no-frills, regular ringtone. I just happedn to like it. It isn't there on the new VX4650 that I bought.

Can anyone tell me where I could either:

1. Download the old ringtone to my new 4650
2. Transfer it from my old 3200 to the new 3650

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thx

Ya know, I was just wondering this same thing..... if there was anybody who had the lg vx3200 ringtones on their puter they could share? We just recently upgraded from the 3200 to the 8100 and I sure miss my old Christmas ringtones from the 3200.... I have a data cable for my 8100 but it won't transfer anything from my 3200.... Can anybody help?

Tina

the simplest low budget way is to use 'soundrec' on windows

play the ringer on the 3200, record on the pc..

use audacity to convert that file on the PC to an MP3, use the data cable to tansfer the new converted tone to the new phone, or send it to your self via pix msg or email

check the ringtone stickies for the howto's on sending
it almost identical on every LG vzw phone

I tried that..... sounds very crappy.....

Oh... let me second or third the request for the VX3200's ringtone set. I had that phone forever, it seems, and I miss a few of the rings I used as alarms.

I haven't got my 3200 anymore. I just want a pack of the standard ringtones that came with the 3200... I was hoping someone could get them from their phone, zip 'em up, and post them in some sharing place (like http://www.savefile.com/ ) so I could put them on my new phone. If not, well, I'll live.

factory ringtones are in the FIRMWARE, they don't showup in bitpim

hookup you new phone to bitpim and look for the factory ringers,

let me know where they are IF you find them

goto radio shack get the adapters to make a double ended male cable with the correct stere o jack on each end

plug the cable into the earphone/headpiece jack of the phone, and the other end into the MIC input of your PC,

"patch cord' NOT speaker to microphone

you will get a perfect sound unless you have the volume to loud on the phone and distort it..

you may have to try several times to get your play & record settings correct

I borrowed a phone to do this, thinking it would work, bought the cord... but I can't get the ringer sounds on the phone to come through the headphone/earphone jack. They always ring through the main speaker. Any clue what I'm doing wrong? Any way to fix it without killing my friend's phone?

I have no idea.... I can't get it to work either..... I REALLLLLLY want my old ringtones back too.... <sigh>
