Hi, I just got my 9800 2 weeks ago and I adore it!!!
I studied this site a LOT before I got the phone so I know my stuff....

I haven't got a USB cable yet, but I will soon, and I was wondering, does the 9800 have its own drivers? Also, do the drivers come with the cable and are they the same as the 8100?

Thanks...

anyone have an update to this thread?? I have a VX9800 and its not being auto detected via USB by my computer (Windows XP SP2 & latest .NET), i had it originally installed on the computer, but for some reason it stopped so i uninstalled all the software and drivers related to the phone, and now that I got a new one id like to use it again.

You might want to try http://www.vzam.net/vcastmusic/ (which should contain the driver).
