How do I upload mp3's to "my sounds"?

I am able to upload mp3's to the ringtones area, but from there it won't let me save the mp3's onto my minisd card. i need to be able to upload to my sounds and from there i can save the mp3's onto the card. how do i do this? also, is there a way to just upload directly onto the card? thank you.

Plug the SD card into a reader, you'll see a "My MP3" folder, put them in there.
