850 not working on e398?

I have tried everything, i've tried seem editing, i've tried following shoeys tutorial and flashing it to i398, i've tried flashing v398+9cr, i've tried everything i know of and i still cant get the phone to 850. I keep getting "call failed" when i connect tower and 850 is a must in my area, any suggestions?

If you're using R372 based .. try find a flex named GIKE398000AC0DB ...

I think it has quad band ... make a full backup of your phone before flexing it. And try reflash you phone to R372_G_0E.20.9CR ... latest flash for R372 based I suppose ...

Hello,

I cannot test the 850mhz since there is no such service in my current location. However, I've created a 1FF based on R372_9CR + GIKE398000AC0DB flex plus enabling 850mhz band in 0025_0001 and 0032_0001 seem.

SEEM 0025_0001
offset 00 - I enable bit 0, bit 1, bit 3: 850/1900 and 900/1800

SEEM 0032_0001
offset 50 - I enable bit 0: 850 MHz Capable

If this fullflash cannot help, the alternative is to use R373 Based SW. Please tell me if it works or not.

the problem i have been having is i can connect to the network with my e398 but it goes to emergency only after about 10 minutes. I tried your flash and it worked failry well, yet i was still disconnected, it kept me on for about 15 minutes...

i need help!

Then .. the alternative is to use R373 ROKR firmware.

Remember to backup your PDS.

And you might need to enable 850mhz like I wrote above ...

i went to the pintermp 1.2, still nothing, i seem edited and everything. One time after i seem edited and tried to connect to an cingular 850 tower, the phone rebooted. Could that be a lock on the phone?

Maybe you need to use a cingular flex ?

Here is a flexlash (terms motox.us use) for R373 SW based. This will lock your phone to cingular.

It's a .shx file (not a regular .hs flex file) so you can flash it with MFF/RSDLite
