I am just wondering, is it possible to flash V551 with V600, V620 or V635 (or some other) firmwares?

anyone knows?

You can flash it to anything you want. If you want to brick your phone by all means do it.

Just curious, what happen if I flash the V551 to V600.

I know V300 can be flashed to V600 Astron Martin firmware.

why would you want to do that? the v551 firmware is much better than the triplets....imo

What is the difference anyway?

Aren't the V300, V400, V551, V600 basically the same?

By the way, what is "triplets"?

i know that v551 is different from the rest i am sure v300 and v600 are a part of the triplets ie that is the type of firmware they run on... i think v400 may also be a part of the triplets... v551 runs on R472

V300, V400, and V600 are basically the same. (V600 adds bluetooth and event lights.) All those phones are the same firmware platform (TRIPLETS), meaning you can flash from one to the other without any ill effects. However V551 and V635 are a completely firmware platform due to significantly different features... they both add EDGE, and V635 has a megapixel camera and removable media. V551 is the R472 platform and V635 is the R474 platform. You should only flash your phone with a firmware of the same platform. So to answer your question... can you? Yes. Should you? No, unless you want your phone to be worthless. Stick to using the R472 firmware releases.
