Want to flash RAZR but...

Hi All,

I'd like to flash my RAZR, by NOT getting butt neked... OK, bad joke I'm looking on motox.us at these particular files but the description of the file is throwing me off. I'm on Rogers, so...

1. Would it not apply since it refers to Cingular?
2. It refers to Unlocked. My phone is not unlocked. Can I still use it without affecting my phone with undesirable effects?

you can flash it with the cingular flash...however, it will then be branded with cingular stuff...what you want is an unbranded flash...the unlocked just has an effect on those whose phone is unlocked...if you have an unlocked phone you want an unlocked flash (it won't lock your phone) but if your phone is already locked, then you can use a locked flash with no worries...

What about in my scenario, I have a locked phone. Can I or should I apply the unlocked flash, or is it mandatory to apply a locked flash?

Just use this one:

S/W Version: R374_G_0E.42.09R_MOTOX.shx
Flex Version: GSMV3MXCIN01NA0F5

Your phone will still be locked. You'll be fine.
