Hello all,
I am trying to find someone who may have information on doing advanced repairs on Sanyo phones. I currently have a large amount of Sanyo 4900 phones that are in excellent condition. The phones power on, have a good LCD, and they get service, but when you try to make a call with the phone they say "Call cannot be completed. Out of Range". These phones have full bars of service and they seem to be in working condition, but I think someone has made some changes to the NV items in the eeprom. I have tried to read all of the NV items from a working phone with the QXDM and reloaded the data into one of the bad phones, but it doesn't seem to fix anything. I have tried rewriting the ESN, the prl and even the flash file but I'm having no luck. I'm sure it has something to do with the TX or RX values in the eeprom but I dont know what it could be. I have been searching everywhere and haven't been able to find any information about this. If anyone knows anything about repairing this "Out of Range" error, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Did these phones come from a prepaid company? The reason i ask is because it sounds like the SID was changed. If you do a search,i know you can find the current SID for Sprint here,i cant remember it right now. From your post,I'm sure you can load it yourself, you obviously have working knowledge with these.
