hi everyone

i have an e398 with own MP, but i hate it...bad phone

i want to change my phone for one of those phones:
- w600
- S710i

but i really dunno which one is better...i know that w600 has 256Mb of memory but it doesn't have Memory slot...S710 has 32mb of internal but it has Memory slot, i heard that S710i can only use 128mb in Memory...is this correct?

'cuz if i only can use an 128mb...in this case w600 is better.
example:
w600=256MB --- 86MB more than S710i with memory
s710i=32MB(internal)+128MB(memory duo)=160MB

I would get the W600. Newer, faster UI. Assign MP3's to SMS ringers. If you travel to other countries, the W600 is Quad Band thus will giving you access to all GSM networks in the world, smaller package, repositioned microphone for no voice scratching. Only advantages of the S710 is the screen and slightly better camera and the ability to use memory stick duos.

No such thing as a Memory Stick Duo 256MB. Largest available is 128MB. Also it cannot take Duo Pro which is availble in larger sizes.

If you are picking up the phone with a contract I imagine the s710 will be cheaper because it has been out longer.
At least it will be that way with rogers anyway.

Do the comparison on sonyericsson.com, there are a couple other small differences

couldnt have said it better myself. I say get the W600 over the S710a just for these two reasons alone:

1) much better RF with the W600 vs. the S710a.

and

2) much faster UI with the W600 vs. the S710a.

i couldnt stand just having the option of 256 and no removable stick! i have a friend that has been debating on which to get also..... so have we pretty well covered all the pros and cons of both phones? if there are more for either then let me know thanks.

MS Duo 256MB

And this is a 128 MB version:

MS Duo 128MB

They have the same specifications, is this real and could this work with a S710?

Cingular hasn't dropped the price of the S710a in any of my stores. I was going to get that if I couldnt get a deal for my w600i
