Modifying Composer in 3390: can it be done?

I have a Nokia 3390b, v. 5.0, dated 08-August 2003. It has Composer, which is why I bought it, but I have some issues with the way this version of Composer works.

Can any of the following be altered with a flash?

1. Composer does not allow you to edit an existing ringtone. When you open it, you are opening the same (empty) slot every time, so it is not possible to save your compositions in all five available slots.

2. the phone allows you to create a tone and send it via SMS. So in theory, you can send it to yourself and thus save all five. At least that's what the manual says. Does that really work?

3. Is there any way to expand the number of editable ringtones beyond five?

4. Here is by far the longest of my long shots. Nokia Composer is limited to 50 notes per Composer-created ringtone. Is there any way to modify the program to allow for more notes?

5. I have the flash upgrade for version 7.14 of the 3390, but that date is April 2003, while my current version is dated August 2003. Am I safe in concluding that flashing to 7.14 would be a step backwards?

If you have any experience with ANY of these questions, I would be grateful for an answer.

Actually . . .

1. It can modify an existing ringtone . . .that you already made.
2. You can create the tones and send them via SMS, but you don't have to send them so you can save them. It saves itself when you go to the menu and press save.
3. A 3310 of my cousin's went all the way up to 10 . . . but his was flashed with firmware of a relative phone, and of course this is the European/Asian variant.
4. The composer is only 50 notes, so I don't think there is any changes.
5. Flashing to older firmware is not possible. That is what I have heard at least.
