Hi. I have the hiptop 2 with the hiptop option. The thing is, i've started using a razr for a while... maybe about 2 weeks... but before that i was using a samsung D500... anyways... i popped my sim card in the hiptop today and all my contacts and emails are gone. It wont connect to the web... it keeps showing 2 dots where the G is suppose to be. so i was wondering if this is normal. does the hiptop server recognize that i havent been on my hiptop for a month and deletes my account? im still paying for the hiptop option... i never called to cancel it.

any suggestions?

No, your data should still be there and be redownloaded when you get a G back. 2 dots means you can't log into the server to get your data. You may want to verify with your carrier that the account is still set up for hiptop service, 2-dots means it's a carrier issue - wrong account, not provisioned for data, or possibly even a tower/cell issue.

My friend's Hiptop connection (in Montreal) has been stuck at 2 dots since last night, so I would assume Fido may be having so network issues.

thanks for the reply's... my hiptop finall connected after about 2 hours... i was sleeping and all of a sudden it started to beep and ring as if i got new messages... and everything was back...

talked to my boss today and he said there was some issues with the hiptops and they are working on a patch or update of some sort.
