i was just looking at a website in chinese... i can't read but i've been trying to use an online translator and apparently theres a way to hide the service provider

ok, well i guess kms lai pointed out correctly that my phone is 902sh not the offical HK version so i'm missing the option even if i flashed it to hk firmware...

damn haha the service provider logo for canada is so long
CAN rogers wireless Inc.. basically goes acrross the whole screen

Settings -> Display Settings -> Operator Name

If you have the Euro version you won't find this setting, but the JP and HK ones should allow you to change it.

Even a real Hong Kong 902 (SX813) can't hide the operator name. I have one and there's no setting for it. I also have a 902SH with HK firmware and it doesn't have the setting, either.

Ok my bad, I know the SX313 and SX833 can hide the name, so maybe they only started allowing that with those versions and not the predecessor SX813...
