LG vi5225 and Opera Mini - Any luck?

I have a LG vi5225 with STi Mobile (SPCS MVNO) and web access (Vision, basically) has been activated on it through STi. I have tried to install Opera Mini by going to mini.opera.com with the included WAP browser. It detects the phone model correctly, I click on "Download", it tells me that it is a unsigned application, I click next, and it installs. It then says that it installed successfully. At that point, I go to the Downloads > Applications > Opera Mini. It flashes up the Java logo, and then goes back to the downloads menu, not launching the application. I have downloaded other applications, so I know it is not a problem with the phone. Does anyone have any ideas about how to rectify this issue?
