hello,
you should post a brief description of the problem in your title, more people will respond.
If your talented enough you can pull the phone apart and clean the space between the circuitboard(mylar) and the keypad there may be some dust or sticky liquid
between the keypad(joystick) and the circuitboard(mylar).
(this happened to me once with an older c330,
I managed to get pop on the mylar(metal dome assembly) so i took it apart and cleaned off the sticky mess with a cloth and it worked perfect)
Other than that I have no other suggestions.
cheers

yea, next time i should specific the topic in the title >_<
However, this is what i'm thinking about. There might be dust in the mylar.
I had taken thousands of moto V400 and V710 apart, however, do you know how the mylar of SE is? is it just like moto, which there's a piece of sticker that sticks on the printed circuit board?, or is it removable?
Usually, when dust interfere with buttons, it's between the mylar and the PCB,
which i have to peel away the mylar for moto phone...
but I found no replacement parts for SE mylar

I have not taken my phone apart yet myself,
anyone else here taken there
w600 or s710 apart?
Can the mylar just be put back in place or would it need to be replaced?

the mylar on moto is a piece of sticker.. with metal caps
sometimes it sticks back on, sometimes it doens't
but i have no idea if sonyericsson's mylar is also stickers..

I will pull my s710 apart tomorrow and see if the metal dome assembly is removable or if it is a sticker.
I will post back with my findings.
