Hey, I love my S40, but I seem to have one problem with it. The SIM Lock. My friend tried putting in his SIM card into my phone, and my handset won't let him use it on my phone. I'm just wondering what could be the problem??? I haven't screwed around with the SIM Lock security menu at all, besides the fact that I tried turning it off. It says "SIM Lock is blocked". HELP!!!
Thanks in advance.

is your phone, an unlocked version of S40 or is it tied to a carrier ie Cingular. If tied to & bought discounted from a carrier it's SIM locked to them. Some carriers will unlock for international travellers others won't.

it's unlocked. But i put in another SIM card in before, and it worked. But now, it will say it's blocked.
Anyone out there know programming for these phones? (if there is any)

Try putting on your Sim card into the phone, and then go to settings, and security. Usually gsm phones have phone lock(separate from sim lock, subsidy lock....etc.) it is sort of the hardware lock itself. Maybe you accidentally set it on. Dealers usually set it to 1234 or something. Try it.

I've tried that numerous times. Haha, I guess my phone is shot.
I have to send it in.
*Sigh*
This is no good.
Thanks anyway buddy.
