my drivers will not install..
i bought a cable off Ebay, it's an Insten USB data cable and it came with the driver CD. for some reason my Windows XP laptop does not want to load them, giving me a message that it doesn't have the Windows logo on it and therefore if i proceed with the installation i could very well screw up my entire computer.
has anyone else ever had this message?
so of course that scared me enough to stop. does anyone have the driver(s) they could give me? i have a LG VX 8100 and working off of a Windows XP laptop.
thanks!

I use the LG L1200 and I bought insten USB data cable of ebay too and had problems but i figured it out and it works just fine. I think the driver CD that comes with the cable is just useless. I had to do a lot of trial and error before I could figure it out. I got most of my info from this thread link:

If u can put together the information in this thread together u should be able to get it to work. I use a Toshiba laptop and I downloaded a driver from their official website. I also downloaded the LG content software from the uk website. Just view the thread using the link and u should be fine.

Hi tmarie: I just bought the Insten cable too and freaked out at the Win logo message. I scanned the cd for viruses and when it was clean thought what the heck and told it to go and install. Had to install 3 different "New Hardware found" screens but everything is working on the computer without problems and BitPim is working.
