I'll be checking with both Verizon and Apple today. I'm suspecting Verizon did something to disable this in the phone - further suspect Apple's advertised support of BT syncing of the RAZR may not include Verizon phones. -doug |

Apple's supported device page (http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/devices.html) lists the RAZR V3 but not V3c. Curious. So, BT is working okay separately with the RAZR/Headset and also on the computer with BT Keyboard and Palm, but computer does not see RAZR during Setup Bluetooth Device scan (yes, I'm using the 60sec Find Me menu on the RAZR BT menu). I tried setup Mobile Phone and also setup All Devices, nothing found with either setting. -doug |

You just have to power the phone off and on between syncs.
I did discover one feature, which is that adding an alarm to a calendar entry on the V3C will carry back over on syncing, adding a second notification to the iCal entry if it had one before. This is interesting b/c there's no way in iCal normally to add a second notification to an event. Unfortunately, though, the comments in iCal and Address Book entries do not carry over to the phone. |

One more suggestion. If this doesnt work I would get a replacement phone from verizon. Delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.bluetooth.plist and ~/Library/Prefernces/com.apple.bluetoothfileexchange.plist where ~ is your home directory. Then delete all entrys from your phones bluetooth device history. Once done, reboot your machine. Turn off all other BT devices and/or move them far enough from your machine so they are out of BT range. Then turn BT on on your phone then turn on find me. Try the pairing procedure in OSX via systpref->bt->set up new device then and select Mobile Phone. Hopefully it will find your phone. Are you using a Mac with factory bluetooth? Which model/specs? |

Not a bad interface for moving a few around (say, for assigning the 1-9 turbo dial spots) but beyond that, onsync might be a better tool.

If you have OS X just turn bluetooth on in your phone. then "set up new device" in the bluetooth menu on your mac. Once the devices have found eachother you can go to "browse device" in the bluetooth menu. a file directory will be listed. you can just drag and drop. I recommend trimming down mp3s to 15 secs in Audacity (free). Also in the preferences menu you can control mp3 compression for when you export. I recommend compressing to 80, to save file space, there is no noticable loss of quality. You can make gifs and jpegs to use as wallpaper etc. the screen size is 176 x 220. you can even load animated gifs to use as caller IDs. Also, if you correctly install bitpim, you can see the file directory via USB.. i posted step by step on motomodders.net but now i cant find it. |
