seems like my phone would lose wireless and service frequently and i would have to turn it on and off.... has anyone been experiencing this? (i.e. the G and 7 would be there and then itll just have a big blinking X on the 7.. )

Does this happen all the time? You "might" be in a fringe area between two towers. Don't have to turn phone off. To cycle Wireless On/Off, choose Menu:Controls:Wireless:Wireless Off. Then do again and choose Wireless On.

For the rare times I find my SK in "dot dance mode" or with an X, I cycle t his way, if there is a good signal nearby, it will lock onto that one.

Where is the internal antenna? I'm often in a weak reception area and I wonder what's the best way to hold/orient it.

As you look at the back, I "think" it's under the speaker. I always hold on the sides so I don't in any way get in the way of the antenna.

The antenna is on the back side of the device along the left hand edge of the unit - between the speaker and the edge of the phone. The SK2 was designed so that when you hold the device to your ear to talk on it the antenna is pointed up and away from you for best reception.

Don't set your phone on a metal surface - that kills reception, I''ve found.

this is my 3rd sidekick2... its not the fringe area thing. its just that the phone keeps losing connection .. the part where it says tmobile will say searching... right now is connected.. i dont know..
