QPST and Bitpim problem

I'm hoping someone can help me out with this... To start off, I have a LG VX4600 phone from Telus.

I've tried using QPST to mod my phone, nothing special, just want to add some ringtones and wallpaper.

I've configed QPST properly and it's reading my phone, but there is no dload folder that I'd read about to put my images in. This is what I get when I load the EFS explorer:

I've tried adding it in the usr/wallpaper directory, my phone doesn't see it.

Can someone tell me where I should be putting wallpapers and ringtones? I wish there was a guide to find out what all of these directory folders were!

Now, with bitpim...

I used it a couple months ago and now realize why I stopped, it is so frustrating trying to get that program working properly!!

I go to edit -> settings -> select LG 4600 (telus) as my phone, and type in COM3 for my port (that is the port that QPST recognizes my phone on, so I'm assuming it wouldn't change, right?"

I then click on the / sign in the file viewer, and come up with an error that says "COM3: could not open port: (5, 'create file' access is denied')"

So instead, I try to get it to detect my phone automatically, and it says "Found other CDMA phone on Com3"

So, at least it's recognizing that theres a phone there, but I still can not get it to read any of the directory files in the fileviewer, I get the same "could not open port" error.

If anyone could help me out with either of these issues, I'd be so thankful. Like I said, all I want to do is add some ringtones and images, nothing too fancy, so I don't really care which program I use as long as it works.

Thanks alot!

`Lisa

Okay, so I got it to read the directory files in the fileviewer by unchecking "use bitfling" in the settings window, but...

I can't get/send data to my phone. When I try, all of the options are faded out and I can't select any

sorry for being such a pain, thanks for your help.
