wow, i am disapointed, the Cingular has realeased Fire Fly, i hope they are ready to see a failure, the price $50 w/2y plan, that is outragous. it should be free with a plan.

It does seem a bit steep. My 9-year-old son wants one, even though he hates to talk on the phone and can't have it at school.

that's exactly what its supposed to be. it was meant for children, elderly, etc who need easy to use communication. *but* I think since that's the case, cingular should have a discounted rate for lines with that phone since all you can do is call in and out.

I was talking to one of the managers at a corp store the other day and he told me that the Firefly is the biggest waste of money that he has seen in a long time. he told me that he hasnt sold not one yet and they've had them now for almost two weeks.

he also said that one of the biggest drawbacks is that you cant even replace the battery inside the phone. so basically once the phone's battery loses its charging ability, then you basically will have to throw the phone away. gee, now isnt that just grand?
