V360 Notes - first day of playing

I've been playing with my new V360 (tmobile branded) today, and I wanted to share some notes since questions about it come up alot..

The email client is disabled, but can be enabled with the same SEEM edits that enable the email clients on the other phones (v330, etc).

Websessions are enabled the same way as other Motorolas.

GPRS and EDGE icons don't seem to appear no matter what. I've tried several SEEM edits from other motorolas, and none seem to work. Oh well, its just a damn icon after all, EDGE works all the same.

The external LCD uses the same cl.gif images as the RAZR, a hidden 96x80 gif file in the /a/mobile/system/ folder. It just displays them in greyscale, not color.

Opera Mini and Google Local both work well on the 5.99$ Tmobile Web plan, but you need to enable websessions, and then use an unlocked Websessions file. I posted settings in the Opera Mini thread in the Tmobile forum, but I could repost here too if requested.

VERY ANNOYING thing... When using Java programs that access the internet, whenever they access data sources they bring up the little "Ask once, ask always, deny always, etc." window like other Motorolas. Unfortunately, there is no 'ask once' option! You can allow that one time, but then, several seconds later when it connects again, you have to allow it again. Then a few seconds later, you have to allow it again. HUGELY frustrating. I'm still looking for a solution to this...

Anyway, just wanted to throw this out there. This is a nice phone, and I'm having fun with it! Definately a decent little upgrade to my v330.

peace,
sam

I retract one of my previous statements, the EDGE icon SEEM edits DO work on the V360, just instead of displaying the icon all the time like the V330 does, the v360 only displays the icon while it is actually using the network. Cool!

peace,
sam

Thanks a lot for the useful informations.
Advise me please what kind of software is best for PC-V360 connection? I installed some traditional sw (pst 7-2-3 + pk2man-pst, MPT 3.40, MotoKit 1.06) but hard to organize old databases to the V360v (Vodafone version) because no one working fully with the new phone.
Thank you.
