IrDA problem!!

I am charging my phone right now, but I because i got the phone from the chinese dealer, it didn't come with the USB cable. I tried using the IrDA, but i'm not sure if it's because the battery is not fully charged, my laptop detected that it is in range, but it won't connect. Anyone else has this problem? I have only 3 days to test this baby out, if it doesnt work I'll have to return it.

Any tricks on getting the Infra Red to work? Otherwise, this pretty phone will go to waste since i don't have that cable!!

I have a very stupid question , am i suppose to keep my phone open?
I tried to cut mp3 using the software given, it won't let me save. But goldwave works. It's a little weird...

open, closed, doesn't make much of a difference, IIANM.

audacity works fine for me. go google it. it's open source.

Thank you!! I used goldwave, worked, and for some reason, my IR worked today.. Perhaps it's the battery issue..

Yep... i'm a sucker for pink cute phones.

The phone is fine, i don't find the ring or speaker low vol at all. The only issue is i don't have a handsfree and a cable. I hope everything will work out fine.
