I just swapped over to the VX9800, and have done a lot of reading on it and the 8100.

My main question is are there any add-in type programs for these phones?
I have been using a Motorola i275 on Nextel’s network and with it you can add a whole host of any program you want basically.

I have read that you can only get games through Get it now (which stinks) and I have figured out too that the platform is somewhat different. From what I understand this phone is on a BREW 2.0 platform whereas my i275 was J2ME, correct?

So if that’s right, the question is simply are there any BREW applications you can upload through BitPim, etc. and have on the phone?

I am mainly looking for a more powerful calculator than what comes standard on the phone. With the Motorola (if any is familiar) it was Calculator 2 Go (Calc2Go) which worked under the Java Apps.

So, can the same be done with these phones, or am I limited only to what I have, or can purchase through Get it now?

I hope this isn't the final answer...
