Any bitpim experts out there?

My bluetooth seems to lose connection (yet remains paired) rather often, and one press of the headset button usually reconnects the headset after 7-10 seconds. It's pretty damn annoying, frankly. Anyway, this occurs slightly less if I turn "power save mode" off. This is accomplished via the "secret" menu ( 0....000000), 2, # and I toggle it. The problem is whenever the phone is powered off and back on, the firmware of the phone resets this toggle. I would think that via bitpim, a sophisticated user might know how to modify this. Any thoughts?
