Just wondering if I should lock myself in for 2 years. I hate being on contract but $150 off the phone is nice Should I do it?

I would suggest waiting to see what UMTS phones arrive. ( If you are in a launch market, of course ).

Depends, not sure if I would even use its features. Just wondering what everyones thoughts were on signing new contracts for upgrades and if alot of people do that or just go on ebay

Buy.com has the W600 for free after rebates if you dont mind signing a two year contract. its $179 up front with $180 worth of rebates.

that price litterally beats the crap out of Cingular's price before and after the rebates.

I signed a new contract. I don't see myself leaving Cingular right now or ever since I have good reception in all the places I venture and they have one of the better selection of phones to choose from. GSM makes phone swapping so easy and after unlocking the phone, it can be used with international sims when you travel.

same here. my company uses Tmobile and you wouldnt believe how horrible their coverage is in our area. all the employees with the company tend to wonder who the brainiac was that decided to use Tmobile in the first place.

oh well, its a great copp out when someone's trying to get a hold of me and I dont feel like answering the phone. all I have to say is I didnt have any signal and no one would think the wiser.

Same here. It's that or get one off ebay for about $300. Still thinking about grabbing a v635 for $250 and stay out of contract. Who knows what will happen in 2 years.

The thing is my contract is now over and I need to upgrade 2 phones. That 2 year razr deal is very tempting right about now. This little voice says go for it, the other voice says screw the 2 year contract and just buy the phones. I agree about who knows what's gonna happen in 2 years. Help!!!!!

Guess I'll just sign a contract. As worse I can pay the $150 etf and still come out even. The phone out right is $350-400 anyway
