Potential new Cingular customer needs advice

I'm a long-time Sprint customer and have been through many of their phones, usually a day or two after they are released as I'm sort of a cell-phone junky.

I've been looking into switching to Cingular, but the one thing holding me back is the phone selections. I was hoping to see what users out there opinions are on what type of phones utilize the latest technologies.

In my past with Sprint, I'm currently using the new Samung A940 (using Sprint's new Power Vision), and just recently purchased the new A900.

Looking through Cingular's website, I noticed the Samsung D307, but it just doesn't seem to match up to all of the features that some of Sprint's phones offer.

Any suggestions would definitely be appreciated..

if you were using Power Vision, then you might want to wait until Cingular has UMTS/HSDPA phones in your area. GPRS/EDGE will seem very slow to you if you use data a lot.

Data isn't the biggest issue for me.. I'm just a cell phone junky and like all the latest bells and whistles that phones these days are coming with.. I'm just not familiar with the GSM side of the cell phone world as I have always been with Sprint.

Anyone have any other suggestions?
